This document sets forth the Intellectual Property Constituency (IPC)’s privacy policy. By accessing the Site, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please free to contact the IPC by emailing [email protected].

 

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

The IPC collects Personal Data about you as an individual when you apply for a membership application to join the IPC. This personal data is required for the purpose of your participation in the IPC and is collected and retained only so that the IPC can contact you for administrative membership reasons and so that you can participate in IPC actions and meetings. "Personal Data" refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

When you register your email address on the IPC’s website, this information is stored in our membership database, hosted by Memberclicks. Further, the IPC’s membership application asks for personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, occupation, business address, and country.

For invoicing purposes, the IPC will use the above mentioned data to contact you for payment of membership dues. As such, this information is also stored and maintained by the IPC.

 

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We will not share your personal information with any third parties except where:

  • You have consented or asked us to share your information with third parties;
  • We are using a third party service provider to provide services that involve data processing (Memberclicks), or;
  • Where it is otherwise permitted by applicable law, or where we are required by law to do so.

 

YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING PERSONAL DATA

If you requested to participate in the IPC or have been added to the IPC’s  website and/or mailing lists, and no longer wish to participate, or would like to exercise your rights, in accordance with the law, to access, correct, modify, delete, or object to the IPC’s processing of your Personal Data, or would like to receive your Personal Data provided to the IPC, please contact the IPC Leadership & Secretariat at [email protected]. The IPC will respond to your request without undue delay and in any event within one month of receipt of the request (this period may be extended in accordance with the law).
