  • Category 2 Application

    Category Two Membership is for local, state or national IP organisations (such as the UK's Institute of Trade Mark Attorney's).Each member in Category Two has two votes in all formal decisions where a vote is required.

    In determining eligibility for Category Two Membership, the Membership Committee of the IPC will consider whether theapplicant organisation is a national intellectual property organisation -- with a membership of intellectual propertyprofessionals drawn from a local community.   • Category 3 Application

    Category Three Membership is for international IP organisations (such as INTA or FICPI). Each member in Category Three hasthree votes in all formal IPC decisions where a vote is required.

    In determining eligibility for Category Three Membership, the Membership Committee of the IPC will consider whetherthe applicant organisation is an international intellectual property organisation with a substantial membership drawnfrom different countries.   • Category 1A Application

    Category One Membership is for organisations such as law firms, trade mark agencies and companies with an interest in intellectual propertymatters. Category One members do not have a vote in formal IPC decisions but their contribution and involvement is significant.

    In determining eligibility for Category One Membership, the Membership Committee needs to be satisfied that your company/firm isinterested in intellectual property issues and their relationship with the domain name system.   • Category 1B Application

    Individual Membership of the IPC is for individuals who demonstrate an interest in intellectual property, particularly as it relates to the operationof the domain name system. Please note that individuals who cannot demonstrate such interest may be directed to one of the otherconstituencies where they will be better served. Individual members do not have a vote in formal IPC decisions but their contribution issignificant.

    In determining eligibility for Individual Membership, the Membership Committee of the IPC will depth of involvement/interest which theapplicant has in the field of intellectual property.
